Perry has spent the last 25 years helping brave decision-makers start, transform and grow brands that make people’s lives more rewarding. He founded the brand, design and marketing consultancy, big fish in 1994 whose clients have included Yeo Valley Organic, Riverford Organic, Abel & Cole, Tyrrells, Dorset Cereals, Gü, Charlie Bighams, Clipper Tea, Kallo, Whole Earth and Sipsmith to name a few.
He is also an entrepreneur who has helped create and invested in brands such as sofa.com, Boden, Biscuiteers, Freddie’s Flowers, Cornishware and Pooky decorative lighting. More recently his attention has turned to starting and investing in sustainable and ethical brands such as Tiba Tempeh and Howdah Indian Snacks. Howdah is a one-for-one brand that provides a child in India with school lunch for every pack sold. So far they’ve fed over 100k school children, which is incredible considering they’re only a tiny business turning over less than £200k.
He’s a firm believer that typography should be part of the national curriculum, that all business should be a force for good and that consumers hold the power to help fix the future. His primary focus for the next 25 years is helping leaders build and implement sustainable, ethical and profitable growth strategies that help drawdown CO2 and depollute the planet.
